Thursday NEWS RUSH Featuring The Louvre’s Record-Breaking Exhibition.
It’s CULTED with your Thursday NEWS RUSH.
First up, The Louvre has broken it’ attendance record for a single exhibition.
The museum’s Leonardo da Vinci retrospective which opened in October doubled its highest recorded number of visitors. The previous record was held by their 2018 Eugene Delacroix exhibition which recorded 540,000 attendees.
Next up, Ted Baker will be cutting 160 roles in an effort to combat declining sales and a £58m accounting error.
Recent profit warnings in December prompted chief exec Lindsay Page and executive chairman David Bernstein to resign. The brand’s founder and former CEO Ray Kelvin also resigned in March 2019. It seems Ted Baker can’t escape problems at the moment.
In other news, Guess is collabing with J Balvin for the second time with a new Spring 2020 capsule. The ‘Colores’ collection will be available from 27th March and will include styles for men, women and children.
That’s it for today’s news but we are now in Paris and will be bringing you the latest show reviews.
It’s Sam with CULTED. Have a great Thursday!
