Thursday NEWS RUSH Featuring Viral Imagine Cover.
It’s CULTED bringing you your Thursday NEWS RUSH.
First up, Nike has beaten its sales estimates during the coronavirus pandemic thanks to a rise in online shoppers. The brand’s overall digital sales rose by 36% in the 3rd quarter leading up to 29 February.
Next up, John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ has hit a new high on the rock chart following the viral cover which is circulating the internet. This comes after a number of famous faces, including Natalie Portman and Cara Delevigne, covered the track in an attempt to raise spirits during the coronavirus pandemic. The track re-entered Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart at number 15.
Finally, more than 5,500 artists and students have signed a petition blasting London’s Royal College of Art for its plan to hold this year’s degree show as an online-exhibition. Graduating students are asking the college to suspend its programs and delay the exhibition until they can safely return to college.
