Thursday Morning NEWS RUSH Featuring Eurovision Cancellation.
It’s CULTED bringing you your Thursday morning NEWS RUSH.
First up, some good news. Shanghai Fashion Week will not be cancelled and will take place via live streaming. More than 150 brands will broadcast their shows between 24th and 30th of March via a portal on Alibaba’s Tmall. This could be the world’s first fashion week to stream it’s entire lineup of shows.
In other news, Prada has reported a 2.7% rise to €3.226 billion in full-year sales. Sadly the epidemic has now “interrupted the growth trajectory”, the company said, which will have a significant damaging impact on this year’s results.
Next up, remember the s***show that was Fyre Fest? Well, Migos are now being made to pay a $30,000 Fyre Fest settlement. The group bagged an alleged payment of $100,000 to perform at the festival despite that never actually happening. Shady.
Finally, Eurovision and Glastonbury are the latest events to be cancelled due to coronavirus. There is no word yet on whether the line-ups of both events will be transferred over to next year.
It’s Sam with CULTED. Please stay safe during these difficult times.
