After a six year long battle, Supreme has finally registered a Chinese trademark.

The highly impersonated brand can now safeguard its iconic branding from copycats.

And the most famous of these imposter brands is ‘Supreme Italia’. The counterfeit brand has played havoc with Supreme for years, previously operating in Europe before the real Supreme gained dominance.

Once Supreme grew in popularity, the imposter brand was forced to move to China, where they opened a knockoff Supreme store in Shanghai, and even went as far as collaborating with Samsung, before Supreme could get legal coverage.

The introduction of this new trademark has now forced the imposter to close their Shanghai store, granting Supreme the opportunity to finally gain dominance over the highly desired Chinese market.

The new trademark is a huge step for the brand, which took the lead spot in counterfeit searches globally for the third time in a row last year.

Do you think this is really the end of Supreme copycats, or is this just one step in the long journey against counterfeit brands?

Let us know below.
