STÜSSY FW21: THE UNIFORM OF COOL

Stüssy’s outputs – not only in the past 24 months but in a wider sense the brand’s extended history – have never been anything but perfect, and their FW21 additions make no deviations from the trajectory of success. Maintaining this aura for over four decades now takes genius level design and brand management – it’s fair to say that few do it better than Stüssy.

The collection arrives as another comprehensive release, comprised of typical workwear-inspired silhouettes, delicate knitwear options and more casual styles taking the Los Angeles brand back to its 80’s roots, with all of the above emblazoned with the loud, in your face, no compromise patterns often associated with Stüssy.

In recent years, the surf label has made a habit of teasing their collaborative partnerships with Nike in lookbooks, previously showcasing the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage, Air Huarache and Kukini early, once again doing the same for FW21. Seen pictured is a pair of hiking boots as well as a Nike-branded mule – not too dissimilar to the Air Moc – which has been identified as the Rufus II mule from the ACG franchise. It’s entirely possible that this is another of Stüssy’s collaboration teasers; if so, we’ve got our winter slippers sorted.
