It’s CULTED with your 60-second NEWS BLAST.
Last night, RYOT presented ‘The Fabric of Reality’, an immersive VR fashion show experience hosted by Brooke Roberts Islam, and CULTED got an invite.
The experience was a first of its kind, and transported audiences to a fantasy fashion world, featuring 3 designers and their VR artists: designer Damara and Sutu, SABINNA and artist Vhruman, and Charli Cohen and Anand Duncan & Joy.
Now let’s get into the experience itself.
RYOT sent over a laptop and VR headset which admittedly did take quite a while to set up. But once logistics were out of the way, the experience itself was an incredible way of seeing just how much can be done with virtual reality and digital spaces.
Each attendee had their own customisable character so you could fully live out a Front Row fantasy. It got us thinking of the endless possibilities, and how, if logistical issues were solved, VR could be a serious solution to the ethical and sustainability issues that come with the fashion show.
What if big brand brands like Louis Vuitton and Dior harnessed this technology?
So guys, what do you think of the idea of VR fashion shows?
