Satisfy Running is hitting the forest, Dover Street Market is celebrating Photo London, and Lanvin is opening a brand new store in Cannes. On top of that, the Cannes Film Festival is well underway, there’s an archive sale in Antwerp, and Theo Parrish is throwing a party in Shoreditch. Lanvin opens a new Cannes boutique

Lanvin is returning to Cannes following a century-long hiatus, just in time for summer. Given its location, the store honours Cannes’s artistic and cinematic legacy. Architecturally, it draws inspiration from Jeanne Lanvin’s couture presentation on board The Normandie to celebrate its first transatlantic voyage in 1935, looking to the splendour of the vessel’s Grand Salon. The store will take its permanent form at the end of high season, cementing the Maison’s presence in the region.

Remember when Coach and Boiler Room shut down London? Well now they’re back at it, heading to Munich in May 16 for more of the good vibes. Expect some of the sickest sounds from top notch DJs including Coucou Chloe, Perra Inmunda, and Housewife9 plus some of the usual Coach goodness. Grab your tickets here.

Dover Street Market celebrates Photo London

The ninth edition of Photo London, the annual photography event that brings together gallerists, photographers and anyone into quality photos, will take place in London from May 16-19, and Dover Street Market is getting in on the action. DSM London will house a series of special displays, printed matter and product launches in-store. Miu Miu portraits, a Comme des Garçons x Roman Signer installation, Our Legacy WORK SHOP x DSM exclusives and some juicy Kiko Kostadinov clobber are just some of the stuff to get excited about. If you’re into it, get down to DSM.

Hit the trails with Satisfy Running

Satisfy Running is heading out of town for the latest instalment of its LSD trail run series this Saturday, May 18. If you’re in Paris, head to Gare du Nord at 8:00 a.m., here you’ll travel to Montmorency Forest for a 20KM loop. There’ll be drinks and food after the run, and you’ll be back in Paris for 12:00 p.m.. Get clued up at the Cannes Film Festival 

The Cannes Film Festival is underway and as well as being a massive “who’s who” for some of the biggest heads in film, it’s also a great time to update your “To Watch” list. Highlights from last year include Zone of Interest, Asteroid City, and Aftersun. This year we’re looking forward to The Shrouds, Megalopolis, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. And the red carpet looks are pretty good too.

Theo Parrish is throwing a Shoreditch street party

Krankbrother is kicking off the London summer early, with a mega Theo Parrish street party in Shoreditch on May 18. It’s always a big one, so dust off your dancing shoes and head to Christopher Street or to get involved. Grab your tickets on Resident Advisor. 

Go archive shopping in Antwerp

Everyone likes archive designer deals, and if you’re in Antwerp this week, then there’s loads of designer sales. Think Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Namachecko, Pop Trading Company. There’ll be deals, bundle discounts, samples and deadstock products. Find it at Wolstraat 26, 2000, Antwerp Belgium. It’s open from 10:00 a.m.-8 p.m. each day.  

Seiko’s Power Design Project arrives in London

In January this year, Seiko held the Specialized Watch Exhibition at Seiko Seed, in Harajuku Tokyo as part of the Power Design Project 2024. The task saw seven designers approach the task with seven distinct perspectives to create highly exclusive content. Now it’s coming to London, and you will be able to view the seven exclusive watches at Japan House from May 20-June 20.

Saucony is the title sponsor of the Saucony London 10K – one of the UK capital’s most popular running events, and will use the race and wider moment around it to launch its new identity, consolidating its lifestyle and run divisions, exemplified by its “TAKE ON LONDON” campaign, which honours the brand’s commitment to the London running community.
