OTTOLINGER has released a pair of jumpers to help support the charity HELP REFUGEES/CHOOSE LOVE. Available in a royal blue as well as a tie-dye style pink, the jumpers are hand-dyed 100% wool, with all profits going to raise funds for refugee camps on Greek islands. Creators of OTTOLINGER Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient chose Greek refugee camps as their production is mainly based in Greece, and they wanted to give back to the country.
The charity was founded in 2015 in response to the humanitarian emergency in Calais. It has gone on to support over 120 grassroots projects throughout Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and the US-Mexico border.
In a statement sent to CULTED, OTTOLINGER stated that HELP REFUGEES/CHOOSE LOVE “fills the gaps where larger NGOs and governments can’t or won’t act, they support everything from lifesaving search and rescue boats, to food provision, legal support and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ refugees and unaccompanied children.”
The jumpers are priced at £437.45/$589.26 and are available from the OTTOLINGER website now.
