Fortnite has collaborated with Oakley, bringing its on-screen graphic goodness to life through limited-edition physical glasses.
The collaboration comprises two eyewear designs, which feature the Fortnite Battle Royale’s Victory Crown etched onto the lens. Oakley’s Heluz Fortnite is equipped with Prizm Gaming 2.0 lens technology to assist players with removing the glare from OLED and LED screens while providing a sharp visual support perfect for intense gaming sessions.
Not only does the Fortnite x Oakley collaboration have you covered inside, but outside too, with the Hydra Fortnite design providing the ultimate sun-protection and styling potential, with a golden Prizm 24k lens perfect for shielding yourself from the elements.
Campaign shots show Chica, aka Maria Lopez, the most recent Oakley team member and the first Latina LGBTQ+ creator to join the Fortnite Icon series. Chica shared her thoughts on the collaboration: “In all my years of playing Fortnite and seeing all of the different collaborations, I’m so happy to be at the centre of this one coming together. I can’t wait to share it with my community.
This isn’t the first time Fortnite has made a foray into the fashion space, having previously collaborated with Balenciaga on a series of digital outfits, which players could purchase from in-game boutiques. Ralph Lauren has also collaborated with the game, bringing some Polo garments to gamers worldwide.
The Fortnite x Oakley collaboration will be available exclusively on the Oakley website in a limited quantity.
