It’s CULTED with your 60-second FASHION BLAST.
It seems New York Fashion Week has started 2 days earlier than we expected, and the 2020 Olympics conversation has officially started!
Last night Nike hosted a huge runway show at the Shed venue, New York.
The show presented us with several new collaborations including Ambush and Off-White, plus a wide range of Olympic uniforms made from 100% recycled materials.
Models of all ages, shapes, races and abilities walked the runway in a beautifully refreshing performance. Sporting legends such as Lisa Leslie, Carl Lewis and Brandi Chastain also walked alongside Nike’s current roster of athletes and future Olympians. The show was innovative and inclusive, reminding us why Nike remains one of the leading brands for sportswear.
In a tribute to Kobe Bryant, kids were seen wearing his iconic jersey.
The show ends with the models coming together to cover the runway in an array of bright colours and dancers. When the last model left the runway and the music fell silent, the audience sat waiting. But there was no designer to take a final bow. With no one taking centre stage this reinforces Nike’s sense of community.
