It’s CULTED with your Monday NEWSRUSH.
First up, Beyoncé has announced that she will be donating $6m to mental health and other initiatives during the pandemic. In a statement about the donations, Beyoncé said that our collective efforts are vital to make a difference. She said:
“Communities of colour are suffering by epic proportions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Communities that were already lacking funds for education, health and housing are now faced with alarming infection rates and fatalities.”
She made the donation with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey’s relief fund #startsmall.
In other news, Kiko Kostadinov has unveiled a new sneaker collab with Asics. The sneaker features a large cut-out, single lace mechanism and an air-pocket heel. It was designed by Laura and Deanna Fanning, the twin sister creative directors behind Kiko Kostadinov’s womenswear.
Next up, Kaws has created an original artwork inspired by Travis Scott and Kid Cudi’s track ‘The Scotts’. The artist has updated the Acute Art mobile app with different augmented reality versions of the track’s artwork, which users can place in real-life locations.
