In other news, in an exclusive interview with WWD, Balenciaga’s creative director Demna Gvasalia revealed his plans for the future which include using near 100% sustainable fabrics in clothing for summer 2021, abandoning his recent storytelling approach to refocus on clothes, and more. Ahead of his couture debut next July, Gvasalia also revealed that he believes “strongly that couture actually may save fashion […] because you’re free from the constraints of industrial production.”
Next up, Banksy’s ‘Show Me the Monet’ painting could sell for over $6M when it hits the auction block at Sotheby’s this October. The piece is just one of the many paintings Banksy recreated in his satirical style, and goes up for sale on 21 October.
