Monday NEWSRUSH Featuring Rihanna’s First Fenty Skin Campaign.
It’s CULTED with your Monday NEWSRUSH.
First up, Kanye West’s new album Donda is reportedly set to be released this Friday. Kanye tweeted the news on Saturday, along with the album’s track-list before quickly deleting his tweet. Whilst this doesn’t necessarily mean the album will drop this week, we’ll keep you posted with updates.
Next up, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing are all set to host physical Fashion Weeks this Autumn, starting with Shanghai which will return on 8 October. With rates of COVID-19 dropping in the areas, it looks like brands like ROARINGWILD, Pronounce and Angel Chen will see a return to physical shows.
And to keep you updated with what went on over the weekend, A$AP Rocky, Lil Nas X and more familiar faces star in Rihanna’s new Fenty Skin campaign. Riri uploaded the first official teaser for the line to her Instagram account, revealing that it will drop on 31 July.
And to end this morning’s updates, Boohoo has called on the UK government to introduce a licensing scheme that will ensure that all textiles factories are suitable and legal for trade. Boohoo’s CEO, John Lyttle, said tackling modern slavery in the textile industry needs to be a “joint effort between industry and government”.
That’s all for today. It’s Sam with CULTED.
