Monday NEWSRUSH Featuring Palace’s AW20 Collection.
It’s CULTED with your NEWSRUSH for Monday 3 August.
First up, TikTok has responded to news of a potential US ban, after Trump announced the plan last week. In a statement, TikTok’s US General Manager, Vanessa Pappas said the platform isn’t “going anywhere” and encouraged users to “continue to share [their] voice” and take a “stand for TikTok.”
Next up, Virgil Abloh has announced the winner of Evian’s sustainable design competition. Danielle Elsener was chosen as the winner of the €50,000 grant for her zero-waste design system called ‘A020.’
In other news, Palace has dropped its AW20 collection, complete with bold prints and vintage style garments. The brand’s first drop is set to arrive on the official Palace webstore on 7 August.
And to round off today’s headlines, a Supreme x Nike Air Jordan 1 collab might be in the works. While this is all still just speculation, rumours have surfaced that the pair could release a trio of Air Jordan 1s in 2021, inspired by Supreme’s 2003 Nike SB Dunk High collaboration.
That’s all for today. It’s Sam with CULTED.
