Monday Morning NEWS RUSH Featuring All-Star Charity Benefit.

It’s CULTED bringing you your Monday morning NEWS RUSH.

First up, ASOS is facing huge backlash as the company continues to operate as normal, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

The company’s Barnsley warehouse has up to 4000 people working in close capacity. Workers are reporting no social distancing measures and say hundreds are made to gather in small areas. 3 ambulances were called to the site on Saturday alone. The GMB union has said ASOS is ‘playing Russian roulette with people’s lives’ and has started an online petition urging CEO Nick Beighton to close factories.

Next up, Elton John has organised an all-star benefit special aimed at providing relief for a world on lock-down. The one-hour special aired last night on Fox and featured performances from Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong and Alicia Keys.

In other news, the Arcadia group, which owns brands like Topshop, will suspend pension payments in a desperate attempt to save money during the coronavirus pandemic. £6m worth of payments have now reportedly been postponed for the next 3 months, based on the current overlook for the global COVID-19 lock-down.

That’s all for today.

It’s Sam with CULTED. Have a great start to your week and make sure to stay inside.
