Monday NEWS RUSH Featuring Pornhub‘s Rising Fashion Star.
It’s CULTED bringing you your Monday morning NEWS RUSH.
First up, Fashion Nova has come under fire after they sent a text to US customers encouraging them to spend their stimulus checks on the site. The text promoted an 80% site-wide sale for “when that stimulus deposit hits”. Given the amount of people currently struggling financially and relying on the stimulus check, the text didn’t go down well.
Next up, Pornhub’s Asa Akira is the star of a new fashion campaign for Namilia. The star fronts the “Herotica” campaign, which celebrates Asian communities who are usually stereotyped in sex and porn. This comes after the star walked the AW20 runway for Namilia back in February.
In other news, Gucci will reopen its leather goods and shoes prototype complex, ArtLab, on April 20. The brand is complying with government laws and trade union representatives to ensure that health is the priority. Only 10% of the total 1000 employees will go back to work but Gucci president Marco Bizzarri said this will “lay the foundations for a wider reopening of [Gucci’s] production capabilities and of the Made in Italy supply chain”.
It’s Sam with CULTED. Have a great Monday and make sure to stay indoors!
