It might be Monday, but there’s loads to talk about. Carhartt WIP has dropped a new issue of its WIP zine, Byredo is releasing a fine jewellery collection, and Nike has announced the release of the Alphafly 3. Stüssy and Birkenstock have dropped the Solana style

Stüssy has teamed up with Birkenstock to release a brand new style, the Solana. The creative partnership sees both brands dive into the Birkenstock archive to reimagine the Kyoto style. Arriving in “Bone,” “Caramel,” and “Washed Green,” contrast is provided through a suede-lined shearling upper and cork footbed before being completed with embossed Stüssy branding to the side. Valentino has released the Garavani Un Chateau Bow Mules

Valentino first released the Garavani Un Chateau Bow Mules during its Fall/Winter 2023 Haute Couture show, and now, they are available to purchase. Delicately crafted according to the codes of couture, the dainty mule is finished with an oversized bow, rooted in the enchanting narrative of the collection they were a part of. The Garavani Un Chateau Bow Mule is available exclusively in “Rosso Valentino,” “#PinkPP, ” and “Crackle effect Platinum” at Harrods London.

A Bathing Ape celebrates two years of its London store

A Bathing Ape is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, as well as two years of its Mayfair store. To commemorate the occasion, Bape is launching a seven-piece London-centric capsule of some of the brand’s most iconic pieces, with none other than Unknown T starring in the campaign. The exclusive collection sees Bape’s Union Jack camo applied to the SK8 STA, College Tee, Big Ape Head Tee, and Full Zip Double Shark Hoodie. Kaytranada releases “Lover/Friend”

Kaytranada has released his latest single, “Lover/Friend,” along with its B-side “Stuntin” featuring Rochelle Jordan and Channel Tres. The songs round off a massive year for Kaytranada in the wake of his KAYTRAMINÉ album and tours with The Weeknd in Europe and South America. With a new full-length LP slated for release in 2024, “Lover/Friend” and “Stuntin” arrive just in time to see you through. 

Carhartt WIP launches the latest issue of its WIP magazine

Carhartt WIP is launching the ninth edition of its WIP magazine, with Oakland-based artist Esteban Raheem Abdul Raheem Samayoa gracing the cover, with the team meeting Esteban ahead of his latest solo show. Inside the magazine, there are stories that look at Milan’s graffiti scene, teenage rebellion in a Catholic all-girls school, and early internet chat rooms. This issue of WIP magazine also features UK-based musician, Wesley Joseph, as he records his new album in the Swiss mountains. Byredo jewellery is coming soon

Byredo has expanded its pursuit of creative possibilities by introducing fine jewellery as a new permanent product category, building on the foundational archetypes of self-expression. A material output embodies Byredo founder Ben Gorham‘s aim to translate emotions deeply rooted in the personal. The collection draws on a craft-orientated approach, made in Italy from precious metals such as silver and gold. It is used for necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings that mirror the ebbs and flows of liquid, ready to mould with its wearer. The Byredo jewellery collection will be available to purchase on January 25, 2024. 

Nike introduces the Alphafly 3

Nike is bringing marathon speed to all runners with the release of the Nike Alphafly 3. It is the lightest and most tested Alphafly ever and has been given the seal of approval of professional athletes. Nike Air Zoom technology is incorporated into the silhouette through Air Zoom units, foams and carbon fibre plates, all helping athletes break down barriers in a marathon. If you’ve got a race on the cards, you can grab the Nike Alphafly 3 from January 4 via the Nike website, app, and select retailers. 

HAIRWEAR launches Jewellery collection

HAIRWEAR is the collaborative journey between hair artist, Taiba Akhuetie, and fine jewellery designer, Conor Joseph, centred around London’s Hatton Garden. The 24-piece collection is largely crafted from recycled 9-carat yellow gold and sterling silver, with some brass pieces finished in silver and 24-carat gold plating. The collection pays homage to the tools integral to Black hairstyling, evolving from weave stitching needles to razor blades transforming into hoops and rings moulded from authentic braids. The brand, which operates as a zero-waste label, is rooted in sustainability, with each piece predominantly made to order. HAIRWEAR is available exclusively via the HAIRWEAR online store

Oakley Factory Team launches the Edge Boot and Flesh Pack

Oakley Factory Team, the apparel arm of Oakley, conceptualised and designed by Brain Dead, is back with another solid footwear offering, launching the Team Edge Boot alongside a Flesh Pack re-up. The Edge Boot sits atop a rugged sole similar to the popular chainsaw silhouette, crafted from a brown suede upper and hiking-style eyelets. On top of this, the Oakley Flesh pack mule is getting a vibrant revamp in Neon Green and Rose Taupe colourway. The Edge boot and latest flesh pack will be available on December 5 via the Brain Dead online store, all Brain Dead retail locations, selected partners, and the Oakley website

Story mfg. launches debut fragrance collection

Story mfg. has launched an ethical unisex fragrance collection focused on conscientious composition. The stopper is constructed to resemble a stone crafted from cotton paper and other dead-stock material, with cork replacing the usual plastic components. The fragrance includes Mitti Attar, a luxury scent made from distilled discarded tea vessels, resembling what many describe as the smell of the earth after the rain.
