Both titans of their respective industries, Moncler Genius and JAY-Z have linked up to create a new collaboration, in partnership with Roc Nation, as well as releasing a short film highlighting the empowering clothing.

This isn’t the first time JAY-Z and his entertainment company have worked with the Italian luxury brand. The creative forces came together at last year’s Moncler Genius event during London Fashion Week, which brought JAY-Z and Roc Nation into the Moncler universe, with a special performance engineered by the legendary Mike Dean.

This time around, JAY-Z went hands-on with the collaboration, designing the collection himself with Roc Nation. Infused with light colourways, the collection blends textural elements into everyday wear such as a fleece and bucket hat, and a puffer jacket is finished off with a golden brown crocodile skin-inspired look.

Speaking on the collaboration, JAY-Z stated “The Art of All is the journey, it is the everyday, it is waking up and using your voice. Genius is everywhere.” From the talent involved to the clothing produced, it’s clear to see the embodied spirit of Genius.

The collection is accompanied through a short film manifesto, accompanied by the sounds of The Book of Clarence, which was produced by JAY-Z and narrated by SAINT Jhn. Directed by Páraic and Kevin McGloughlin, the film takes us on a mountaineering journey, juxtaposed with images of the urban city, specifically JAY-Z’s home turf of Brooklyn, showcasing Moncler’s commitment to durability fit for all terrains.

The Moncler x Roc Nation designed by JAY-Z collection is available to shop via the Moncler website and the FLANNELS online store.
