Michael Jordan Sneaker Make Record-Breaking Sale.

Michael Jordan’s pair of sneakers has officially broken records by becoming the world’s most expensive shoes ever sold.

The game-worn sneaker was sold for over half a million dollars, surpassing the Nike ‘Moon Shoe’ as the world’s most expensive shoe sale to date.

Originally estimated to go for between $100,000 and $150,000, the sneaker shattered records by selling at $560,000– 3.5 times the original estimate. 

Director of e-commerce at Sotheby’s, says that this sale shows “not only the incredible appeal of Michael Jordan as one of the most recognisable and legendary athletes of all time, but also that sneaker collecting is truly a global and growing market.”

And we’d definitely have to agree. 

Paired with the ending of Jordan’s hit docu-series ‘The Last Dance’, it’s safe to say the 35th Anniversary of the Air Jordans, went out with a bang.
