The countdown is on for one of the most dramatic red carpet events: the Met Gala.

Andrew Bolton, the curator in charge of the Costume Institute of the Met, just announced the spring 2020 exhibition and accompanying gala theme!

“About Time: Fashion and Duration.”

Showcasing fashion from 1870 to today, marking the Met’s 150th anniversary.

Bolton says that the theme is “a reimagining of fashion history”

The theme encompasses the ever-changing and cyclical nature of fashion, inspired by Sally Potter’s movie Orlando – “in which Tilda Swinton enters the maze in an 18th-century woman’s robe…and as she runs through it, her clothes change to mid-19th-century dress.”

Well, with the Met Gala, it´s safe to say almost every theme has already been done, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited to see who is going to nail the theme next year.

Maybe Katy Perry goes time travelling and shows up in a delicate ruffle robe a la Marie Antoinette?

So guys, which celeb’s outfit are you most excited to see at the Met this year?

Let us know below!
