MCQ recently took to Manny to launch their latest collection in collaboration with their new brand icon, Lancey Foux. Whilst details about the upcoming drop are hard to come by, both MCQ and Lancey have released images of the products expected to drop soon.

Titled IN DUST, these include a leather jacket with central quad zip embellishments, all meeting in the middle, as well as leather trousers with more zipper functions running up the sides. Adding to this motif is a black leather vest, complete with a central silver zip, as well as an oversized bomber jacket.

While the collection’s colour palette is undoubtedly dark, there is one exception in the form of a white silk long sleeve, which features lacing and a dropped neckline, giving medieval MCQ. Don’t worry though – this design also comes in black silk.

To launch the collection, the brand took to Manchester’s Mayfield Depot to throw a huge party in partnership with NQ, celebrating its latest icon Lancey Foux who performed a headline set in bespoke MCQ pieces designed for the performance. Throughout the night, he was joined by Manny native IAMDDB, as well as James McGovern, Bossy LDN, Akemi Fox, Yung OMZ, and host STRATEGY.

Titled IN DUST, collaborator James McGovern performed a custom-written eponymous poem. Later, Akemi Fox kept things chilled and soulful with an acoustic set, before IAMDDB brought a new energy with DJ Jacky P, who hyped up the crowd and set the tone for the night’s proceedings. In between live sets, Yung OMZ took to the decks, and kept the crowd raring to go.

In designing the collection, MCQ’s icon Lancey Foux drew inspiration from industrialism and updated British heritage, in a nod to Manchester’s industrial past. Teasing the drop on Instagram, MCQ cryptically added that it is ‘available nowhere’, prompting outcry from commenters wanting to get their hands on the pieces. If the launch party was anything to go by, we can expect big things from both Lancey Foux and MCQ in the future.
