Hey guys, it’s Omo with CULTED with your latest drops.
This week, we’re dedicating this video to all things Chinese New Year.
It’s the year of the rat, which marks a new cycle in the Chinese Zodiac rotation.
Major brands are taking inspiration from this.
So, first – Gucci has collaborated with Disney, creating a Mickey Mouse inspired range.
Technically this is a mouse, not a rat – but the collection is cute, so why not.
The pieces are bright and playful, and some of our favourites are the cream hoodie with the green Mickey and Minnie Mouse detail.
And of course, the classic Gucci Princetown slipper.
Next, Nike has dropped an 8-piece capsule featuring some of their most iconic shoes.
One to mention is the very bright Air Max 1’s.
The trainers feature hot pinks, lime green and overly saturated blues, paired with floral and dragon print designs paying homage to Chinese culture.
Up next, Burberry has dropped an all-red collection, inspired by the Chinese New year.
The drop presents a cool contrast between sleek, tailored suits and silk scarves combined with casual bomber jackets and track pants.
And last but definitely not least, Marni’s Francesco Risso has put a rodent themed twist on his signature style.
One of our favourites is the sleeveless cashmere jumper, with a cartoon rat on the front.
And we love the pink shirt with the big red ruffle.
