Kering Commits to Carbon Neutrality.

Kering Group, owner of brands like Alexander McQueen, Gucci and Saint Laurent announced that they are committed to becoming carbon neutral.
We feel like it’s not the first time we’ve heard big brands talking about becoming carbon neutral.
Surely, it has something to do with the medias attention on climate change and fashions role on reducing emissions BUT what does carbon neutrality mean for fashion?
As the world is warming up, brands and corporations are trying to reduce the damage they have already done and rethink the fashion model but we all know producing no carbon, is impossible.
So, how is Kering going to tackle it?
They could follow their brand Gucci´s model and plant trees to offset carbon emission, or ban the use of harmful materials in production, or stop flying out influencers and bloggers.
Hmm.
Anyway, Kering is challenging their brands to look at their design, production and distribution and rethinking the way they’re operating in the state of our climate crisis.
Which I think is the only way forward for luxury brands.
So are you excited to see how Kering will become carbon neutral?
