JW Anderson just unveiled his Autumn/Winter 20 collection to a star-studded front row. As always, Anna Wintour graced the Frow, along with Marc Forne, Derek Blasberg and an array of celeb faces.
In true Anderson style, the show space was minimal, and the clothes spoke for themselves.
The collection showed the designer experimenting with bold, ambitious silhouettes. Like last season, Anderson showcased formal wear with a weird twist. It featured oversized jackets with huge collars and iridescent coats and dresses.
We’d say Jonathan Anderson is a maximalist but the looks always manage to have a clean and minimal feel. He expertly played with textures from knitwear to frills and tinsels. You could definitely find the perfect Christmas gown in this collection.
Stand-out pieces included an incredible contrasting monochrome dress which switched from black to white with each step the model took. We also loved the faded purple and black look that saw the hemlines finished with drapey victorian style frills. He also elevated a classic JW Anderson shoe with a tiny kitten heel.
