It’s CULTED with your 60-second FASHION BLAST.

In a recent article Tim Blanks explained in his “35-year experience of fashion, The Show has always been the thing.” But for the time being the fashion show as we know it is gone.

In the debut episode of our ROUNDTABLE series, we speculated on the endless possibilities of the digital fashion show with Leanne Elliott Young and Brooke Roberts-Islam, but as haute couture week got underway in Paris, it became clear that brands didn’t appear to have the same enthusiasm for going digital.

The grand spectacle of the fashion show has been replaced with lookbooks and what have mainly been stripped-back videos, leading haute couture week to feel a bit like Christmas without the presents.

In a recent tweet, @pam_boy asked his fashion fanatic followers if they cared about digital fashion weeks, with 78% of people replying that they didn’t.

But while the spectacle might not be the same, fashion fans have been hoping for a more sustainable way to present collections that avoids all the air miles and production waste for years. And now we’re getting the same great clothes, just minus the added carbon footprint and hassle of scrambling from one place to the next.

What are your thoughts on the recent digital fashion weeks?
