Is Telfar The Next Supreme For Hypebeasts?

It’s CULTED with your 60-second FASHION BLAST.
The Telfar Shopping Bag has become the ‘It’ bag of 2020, with its cool design and affordable price.
Telfar Clemens created the bags at a lower price point to make luxury fashion available to all. But hypebeasts have caught onto the demand for the bag and are snagging it from customers, who’ve been trying to get their hands on one for months, in order to resell them at a much higher price point.
One Twitter user wrote: “I see straight men reselling Telfar bags and idk how to feel… …I thought yall sold Yeezys and 1s”.
As Telfar is fronted by a Black Queer designer, with a largely queer and Black female audience, fans aren’t happy with resellers. The brand’s slogan really comes into play here: “it’s not for you, it’s for everyone.”
Whilst the brand is doing all that it can to stop bots snagging the limited drops, it gets to the point where this becomes near impossible. For the time being Telfar has been forced to close its online store.
In an Instagram statement the brand wrote “Telfar is for the people. Not bots. Store on ice while we root them out.”
Here’s hoping that the problem gets fixed.
