It’s CULTED.
As coronavirus continues to impact physical shows, last week TikTok announced its own digital fashion month. With many brands anticipated to show virtually, the video platform will show online runway shows, after-parties, styling lessons from influencers, and more for the month. A number of designers will be partnering with TikTok, including JW Anderson and Saint Laurent.
With brands looking to tap into the Gen Z audience, TikTok already creating viral fashion trends, and fashion bloggers like Bryan Boy already exploding on the app, TikTok Fashion Month makes sense.
CeCe Vu TikTok’s Fashion Content Partnership lead explained: “We’ve seen the fashion industry reinvent what luxury fashion means to culture and society through TikTok by bringing fashion into the homes of our community during quarantine.”
With the month-long schedule already underway and #TikTokFashionMonth trending with over 1.6 billion views, is TikTok shaping up to be the next go-to fashion platform? We want to hear from you – are you using TikTok for your fashion content?
