H&M has partnered with Spanish luxury fashion brand Rabanne for its latest designer collaboration. The accessible retailer has made headlines over the years thanks to its haute meets high-street collaborations with industry-leading labels, such as Comme des Garçons, Versace, Maison Margiela, Balmain, Karl Lagerfeld, Kenzo and Mugler.
Rooted in historical fantasy while looking to the future, the H&M x Rabanne collaboration channels the carfree exuberance of the ‘70s with a touch of romance, opulence, joy and confidence. Rabanne’s designs are known for their unconventional use of materials and party-ready appeal. The collaboration’s danceable designs and signature lavishness were first previewed at a star-studded party at Paris Club Silencio, which saw Peggy Gou, Iris Law, and pop legend Cher preview the collaborative designs amongst a host of other celebrities.
In keeping with Rabanne’s signature play with materials, shimmering textured silver dresses arrive just in time for the party season ahead. Other highlights include a purple two-piece and dazzling printed orange patterned top and trousers.
Accessories comprise 1920s flapper-style headwear, two-tone silver and gold handbags accented with shimmering circle detailing, cups, cards, candles, blankets and more. The collection is perfect for post-dancefloor self-care, too, with bath robes and co-branded head towels making the perfect post-party pamper session. Homewear items all form part of an exclusive H&M HOME collection – allowing consumers to bring some of Rabanne’s revered designs into their homes.
The men’s selection includes silver and black Cuban-heeled boots, silver suits, graphic tees, track jackets, turtlenecks and hoodies. Not only does it cover all bases from everyday to special occasions, but also comes in an array of colourful prints, hues and patterns to choose from, from muted green, cobalt blue and standout leopard print.
The Rabanne x H&M launch will be available to shop globally in select H&M stores and on hm.com on November 9.
