Gucci is set to release a 7-part miniseries to showcase their latest campaign. Due to the ongoing pandemic, Alessandro Michele Creative Director of Gucci knew that something had to change in the realm of fashion. Instead of focusing on yearly shows, he has already reduced the number of shows from 5 to 2. Now, he’s made another bold change to the way we consume fashion with his new collection entitled ‘Overtire of Something That Never Ended.’ This is to be a seven-episode miniseries during Guccifest; a week-long digital film festival.
The series will be directed by both Michele and director Gus Van Sant; famous for his works ‘Drugstore Cowboy’ and ‘My Own Private Idaho’, two incredibly stylish films in their own right. There will be a number of celebrities featured in the series, many of them long term Gucci collaborators such as Billie Eilish, Harry Styles and Jeremy O. Harris. The digital film festival is to be held from November 16th to 22nd and will be available on Youtube, Weibo as well as the official GucciFest website
