It’s CULTED with your 60-second FASHION BLAST.

Gucci showcased their fall/winter 20 collection in Milan last night.

The show was called ‘Rave Like You Are Five’, and the invitation came disguised as an invite to a 5-year-olds birthday.

The show was more stripped back compared to previous Gucci shows, and the runway featured a pendulum which tick-tocked and swung randomly.

Luke Leitch (LEECH) stated that this represents “that our perception of time is nonlinear”.

Alessandro Michele stayed true to Gucci’s modern-vintage aesthetic with knitwear and blazers, but incorporated grungier elements, from ripped jeans to leather jackets.

Susie Bubble stated that “everything was deliberately cropped, shrunken – as if to symbolise the outgrowing of one’s past”.

The show represents a care-free time, free from toxic masculinity, a time when life was supposedly easier.

In a statement explaining the childlike theme of the collection, Gucci said:

“It’s time to celebrate a man who is free to practise self-determination, without suffocating stereotypes”.

“A baby man, able to do bold and playful somersaults, who wonders in amazement when the world becomes new”.

We rate this show’s deeper meaning, what do you think of it?
