It’s CULTED with your Golden Globes red carpet recap!
A day or two late, but we wanted to gather some opinions first.
The first major red carpet event of the year took place on Sunday when stars arrived at the 77th Golden Globe Awards.
Evan Ross Katz explained “it’s a super important night for stylists, in that they’re going to be introducing this era of their clients.”
So let’s get into the looks.
Stand-outs from the night included Joey King who burst onto the red carpet looking stunning in Iris Van Herpen.
Cynthia Erivo also dazzled in a Thom Browne tuxedo dress paired with a Bulgari necklace worth $3mn.
As usual, Billie Porter looked flawless, and in the words of Louis Pisano was “serving us our life on a downy bed of fashion”.
Next up we have JLo.
I love you J Lo, but maybe we’re gonna have to pass on you on this one.
(big ol’ christmas present)
I don’t wanna shade my girl though… but we must.
Gwyneth Paltrow seemed to cause a stir in a Fendi Pre-Fall 2020 sheer gown, but not all reactions were positive.
Now here at Culted, we live for this look but the internet had divided opinions.
Robin Givhan praised Paltrow (we think) and said: “It takes a lot of nerve to wear a dress that is the colour of dung, transparent and is worn on top of a knitted bra. It takes an actress who is unconcerned about fitting in but rather wants to – needs to – stand out.”
Ending on a high note, Phoebe Waller-Bridge looked incredible wearing a Ralph & Russo power suit, which she is now auctioning off to raise money for the Australian bushfires.
Will this woman ever give us a reason, not to stan?
That’s been your Golden Globes red carpet recap.
