It’s CULTED with your Friday NEWSRUSH.
First up, Virgil Abloh has launched a new activewear line for Off-White called the ‘OFF-ACTIVE’ collection. With designs for both men and women, pieces include cycling shorts, activewear tees and sports bras. Off-White is just one of the latest brands to latch onto the activewear hype, check out our video from Tuesday for more on the growing trend.
Next up, Burberry debuted its Pre-SS21 campaign and it’s not models or celebs who’ve been featured. Burberry’s employees from across London are featured wearing the collection outside of their own doorsteps.
In other news, Mowalola’s SS20 collection has dropped on Ssense. You can now snap up select items from the vibrant leather collection on the website!
And in non related news, there might be bad news for the fashion Twitter community. The social media platform, which is used by many to get their latest updates from journalists like Vanessa Friedman and Shelby Ivey Christie, is considering resorting to a subscription model after a sharp decline in ad revenue. CEO Jack Dorsey said: “you will likely see some tests this year” but confirmed that he’s set “a really high bar for when [they] would ask consumers to pay”
That’s all for this morning. It’s Sam with CULTED.
