It’s CULTED with your NEWSRUSH for Friday 21 August.

First up, CSM students have launched a digital zine made by BIPOC students to celebrate BAME talent in the fashion industry. The magazine’s editors Hannah Karpel and Yelena Grelet explained that “sadly, too many young, talented people have gone unnoticed because of lack of opportunities and systemic racism.” You can support the zine by heading over to thefword-magazine.com.

In similar news, RAISE Fashion has been founded by eight executives to hold the industry accountable for its systemic racism and to offer support Black creatives. The organisation will offer free mentorship to Black designers & entrepreneurs within fashion.

In other news, the Jordan Fall ‘20 showcase premiered yesterday. The new video showcases the latest Jordan items that will be dropping this Autumn.

And speaking of new drops, Bottega Veneta has just showcased its new bags which are made out of kraft paper. The material is made from recycled and FSC certified paper – known for its strength and durability.

That’s all for your morning updates. It’s Sam with CULTED.
