It’s CULTED with your Friday NEWSRUSH.
First up, Jacquemus transported guests to a wheat field in Paris yesterday for the debut of the brand’s SS21 collection. It’s the third live, physical show to take place since the COVID-19 outbreak, whilst most designers are still presenting their collections digitally.
Next up, Versace also showcased its new collection yesterday. The so-called ‘flash collection’ was presented via a fashion film, featuring AJ Tracey, which was more like a music video. Check out the film on Versace’s YouTube channel.
In other news, Gucci’s latest ‘Epilogue’ show is happening right now – well kind of. The luxury brand has gone live to tease its upcoming show giving an inside look into all that goes on behind-the-scenes of a fashion show. The collection itself will be presented and live-streamed at 1pm BST on Gucci’s social media.
Next, Christie’s has teamed up with sneaker purveyor Stadium Goods for an auction of super rare Michael Jordan game-worn shoes and other memorabilia. One of the pairs of MJ sneakers up for grabs is set to fetch as much $550,000 at auction.
That’s all for this morning’s NEWSRUSH. It’s Sam with CULTED.
