Good morning everyone! It’s CULTED bringing you your Friday NEWS RUSH.
First up, Dior’s Designer of Dreams exhibition is now online. The V&A’s physical exhibition sold out for its entire season, but fans now have a second chance to get a glimpse into the world of Dior. The exhibition, which spans 70 years of the house’s work, is now available on the Christian Dior YouTube channel.
Next up, Nike has been named the “most valuable” apparel brand for the sixth year in a row. The news comes from the Brand Finance Global 500 report which records a 7% increase in Nike’s brand value as of January 1 2020.
On the other hand, Nike’s competitor Adidas saw a 1% decrease in brand value but still managed to take the number 3 spot on the list.
In other news, Versace has launched a series to help emerging talent. The series will be uploaded to YouTube and will showcase the talent of up-and-coming creatives. The first episode is now live and shows Serbian artist Uros recreating a Versace sneaker using origami.
That’s all for today.
