Friday NEWS RUSH Featuring The Met’s Closure.
It’s CULTED bringing you your Friday morning NEWS RUSH.
First up, events all around the world continue to be cancelled and major institutions are now closing due to the coronavirus.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is closing all of its locations today. This decision was made after two of its team members showed symptoms of the coronavirus. The museum has not yet announced whether its annual events like the Met Gala in May will continue as scheduled.
Next up, a Condé Nast staffer has a suspected case of COVID-19. The publisher is taking precautions and is advising its team members in its New York offices to work from home until the end of March.
In other news, Gucci has closed its production sites in Italy until March 20th. A Gucci spokesperson said “this temporary closure will (therefore) not affect the supply of our products to our customers.”
We sense that more corporations and companies will continue to close temporarily, until the epidemic improves.
It’s Pavel with CULTED, I have taken over from Sam for today.
Have a great weekend!
