It’s Friday, so we’re back to catch you up with everything you need to know as we head over into the weekend. This time around, we’ve got a mix of collaborations (some a shock, others making more sense), new drops and collections from brands trying to squeeze them in before fashion week takes over, and a couple of new initiatives, too. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
CAR BOOT SALE? NAH, DR. MARTENS BOOT FAIR

What’s better than drinks, music and Dr. Martens? Drinks, music, Dr. Martens and tombola, duh. Tomorrow, Dr. Martens and NTS are joining forces for an all day celebration on Brick Lane. Expect a full line up from NTS including 404 Eros, Anu, Pretty Sick and enjoy the tunes whilst browsing stalls from the extended DM’s and NTS family – where you can grab everything from jewellery to a refurb job.
THE (BOTTEGA) LIBRARY IS OPEN

In the city that never sleeps, Bottega Veneta is partnering with the NYC bookstore The Strand – which Blazy regularly visits in the city. The collaboration consists of three leather intrecciato bags, an homage to The Strand’s famous carrier totes, as well as a book curation by Matthieu Blazy consisting of rare books by Wolfgang Tillmans, Francois Hallard, Isa Genzken, Carl Aubock and Alvaro Barrington. However – we can’t help but think they missed a trick by not killing two birds with one book bag shaped stone.
YOUR NAME IN DENIM

One brand still firmly riding the 70s wave is Acne Studios, who have just launched a new customisable denim line. The multiple washes, multiple colours, and more than enough symbols available here mean that you’ve got the chance to create a truly unique piece, if you so desire. Get creating on their website.
STEFF ELEOFF’S NEW BODY-BLING

Toronto-based jewellery designer Steff Eleoff is reimagining the role of the body within jewellery – an ethos which is evident in her hand-made, subversive pieces. If the striking campaign imagery wasn’t enough to convince you, take the roster of celebrity talent who all form part of the Eleoff fan club: including Kali Uchis and Kylie Jenner to name just two. Her new collection, GOLD, may just be her best yet. It’s nearly treat yo’self season, after all.
CLASSIC REEBOK (+WOOD WOOD)

We’ve all owned a pair of Reebok classic’s at some point in our lives, right? If you’re looking to get back on the wave, or are a newcomer to the leather classic’s, fear not. Wood Wood has cooled off from their Copenhagen show and dipped into the sea of Reebok. Here, we get a premium leather upper, fleece-lined insole and gum sole with subtle WOOD WOOD branding. We’ll take two.
THE COLLABS KEEP ON COMING: MCM & PUMA

MCM doesn’t rest. What started with tooth gems turned into Crocs, and now the luxury brand is taking a trip into the sportswear world. Teaming up with Puma on a 3-drop series, expect an ode to basketball, “raucous glamour”, and undoubtedly a smattering of the MCM monogram. Big ballers only.
