Have you ever caught yourself daydreaming of becoming a social media influencer?
Well, Dazed Digital just published an article, which reports about a study from the Morning Consult company reporting that 86% of young Americans from the age of 13 and 38 said becoming an influencer would describe a career path they would love to go down!
Imagine … attending fashion weeks in the first row, sitting next to Caro Daur and Marc Forne at the noble Cartier dinner or being paid to attend the GQ awards?
Well, the life of influencers does indeed seem to be a glamorous one.
More than that, Dazed also analysed the insights behind the report, referring to the long hours we all spend on social media and the increasing impact it has on our life, and now perhaps also on our future career aspirations!?
But, taking a step back…
Does the study really report groundbreaking news?
Yes, okay Gen Z aspires to become influencers.
But what about Millennials!? – Wasn’t it their dream to become pop stars and wear low rise jeans just because Britney did?
So, isn’t becoming an influencer just Gen Z’s idea of success?
