
While the fashion world is laying low, recovering from its heavy schedule fashion week, there are still a few drops happening this week you should keep an eye out for. One of them is the Dior x Parley for the Oceans collaborative “Beach” collection, a second one of its kind which aims to clean up the oceans and raise awareness towards the issue. Campaigns have also been dropping with big names, including Coach. In other news, Kim Kardashian embodied British culture to its fullest with a weekend pub crawl in London and Quentin Tarantino has an exciting announcement surrounding his last ever film. ETRO RELEASES A NEW BAG
The first created by Marco De Vincenzo, the Vela bag is Etro’s latest accessory. The crossbody bag made out of calfskin comes in black, ivory, gianduja and chocolate colours, as well as seasonal rotating tones. The bag features a hand and shoulder strap, offering versatility to its wearer. Adorned with gold detailing, the Vela bag is seen in its ‘V’ shape with a gold zipper and a chain, featuring the Etro logo on one side and its emblematic Pegasus on the other. The Vela bag is now available on Etro’s website with prices starting at £1,760.

CROCS MAKES SOME NOISE WITH ITS ECHO SERIES
Giving the classic comfort shoe a redesign, Crocs reveals its new, bold style through the Echo line. With a sculpted sole, the Crocs Echo shoes find its inspiration in both sportswear and streetwear, creating a piece worthy of the gorpcore label. Crocs has used its Croslite™ construction for these new releases, as well LiteRide™ footbed, making sure comfort is not compromised. Coming in an array of neutral and earthy tones, the Crocs Echo collection is available on JD Sports’ website.

COACH TAPS LIL NAS X TO EXPLORE SPACE
In Coach’s latest campaign titled “In My Tabby”, the American brand celebrates its Tabby bags by embracing individuality. Turning to influential figures like Lil Nas X, Camila Mendes, Kōki and Wu Jinyan. Lil Nas X goes to space while Camila Mendes is seen repping Coach’s famous American academia aesthetic, in a riff of the “what’s in my bag” trend. Rather than focusing on physical objects, Coach puts emphasis on all the emotions and storytelling that come along with owning the Tabby, spotlighting the courage to be real.

DIOR WANTS TO GO SURFING WITH PARLEY FOR THE OCEANS
The second beachwear collaboration for these two, Dior and Parley for the Oceans reunites for its latest “Beach” collection. Bridging the gaps between technology, sustainability and fashion, the collection features 59% of its items using ocean plastics and 37% using GOTS organic textiles. Speaking on the collection, Kim Jones states “This capsule is committed and very desirable, it’s a mix of innovation and technical performance but still very elegant”. The collection itself offers waterproof jackets, knitted vests, sweaters, bags and footwear, as well as a Dior-decorated surfboard.

LACOSTE HEADS TO CROCO ISLAND WITH MINECRAFT
Minecraft has released a new map to Croco Island, which features a parkour course, as well as 30 new skins to celebrate its collaboration with Lacoste. The collaboration also offers an apparel line that offers a range of sportswear-inspired pieces, accessories and footwear decorated with the typical Mincraft pixelated aesthetic found of the emblematic Lacoste crocodile. All the pieces are now available for purchase on Lacoste’s website as well as select stores.

MICHAEL JORDAN HAD HIS SAY IN THE NEW “AIR” FILM
The new film “Air” which stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and is set to retrace the steps in between Nike’s now-legendary collaboration with Michael Jordan on the Jordan sneaker has been teased for months now. While Michael Jordan won’t be appearing in front of the camera, the athlete had a few directing requests. One of them regarded the role of one of, if not the most important figure in Jordan’s life: his mother. The role was to be filled by Viola Davis. It looks like Michael Jordan’s wishes came true as the EGOT winner has taken up the role in the film set to arrive in cinemas next month.

KIM KARDASHIAN GOES PUB CRAWLING IN LONDON
In a strange clash of universes, Kim Kardashian celebrated St Patrick’s day in London doing something us Brits consider a typical weekend: pub crawling. While this may be a normal occasion for us, seeing Kim Kardashian post to her story photos of her Guinness drinks felt like a fever dream. Other than drinking away, Kim K was also seen, accompanied by her son Saint who was wearing an Katie McCabe’s Arsenal Women’s football shirt, attending Arsenal’s Europa League match. What’s next for the global star? Thrifting on Brick Lane? A quick shopping spree in Westfield?

QUENTIN TARANTINO HAS REVEALED THE NAME OF HIS FINAL FILM
One of the most influential film directors of this era, famous for his non-linear approach to storytelling, Quentin Tarantino has been vocal about making 10 movies before retiring. As we approach the bittersweet double digits, Tarantino has revealed the name of his last project, The Movie Critic. So far, we know that the film will be set in Los Angeles in the 70s and will follow a film critic, many of which are already theorising it could be Pauline Kael, a renowned figure in the film industry at the time known for her controversial essays and reviews, though this has not been confirmed. No cast has been announced yet either, as the film still remains in its early development stages.
