Introducing the latest addition to the Dior Spring 2024 collection: the B57. Soon to be released, Dior’s B57 sneaker is a brand new silhouette reminiscent of eighties basketball shoes, and detailed with a sleek, oblique “CD” stamp.
Combining the laid back aesthetic of retro sneaker styles from vintage basketball days with Dior’s iconic “CD” logo, the B57 is a new silhouette from the brand that’s no doubt about to become a fan favourite. Like all of Dior’s footwear, this style was designed by Thibo Denis under the Creative Direction of Kim Jones. It’s a practical piece of footwear, utilising calfskin leather, perfect for the pending fall.
However, the sneaker’s silhouette isn’t entirely new, borrowing its sole from Dior’s B27 shoe released in 2020, and its “CD” initials motif from 2021’s B30. So it’s a silhouette that’s both something different whilst being rooted in Dior’s iconic sneaker designs of the past.
The design actually blends a variety of materials for a combination of flexibility, comfort, and style, and will be available in six colour ways (grey, black, blue, red, beige, and cream). Undeniably the most iconic aspect of the shoe is the “CD” initials on the side, which are detailed with the Dior oblique jacquard.
Cop the B57 sneaker on Dior’s website for £990 from Tuesday 10th October, and in Dior boutiques from Thursday 19th October.
