Dior Mens Fall 20 Show Review.
Music by: Simon Sizer – Prime.
It’s CULTED with your 60-second FASHION BLAST.
Kim Jones showcased his latest mens collection for Dior over the weekend.
The collection was inspired by Judy Blame who passed away in 2018.
Judy worked with celebs like Björk and Boy George, and his aesthetic influenced The Face and i-D.
The collection was a perfect fusion of punk and elegant tailoring, mixing Judy’s style with traditional Dior.
Kim stuck to a consistent palette of pastel blues, blacks, browns and greys, making each look flow seamlessly into the next.
The runway opened with a striking pearl-grey taffeta coat featuring a crushed rose on the chest.
Another stand-out piece was an incredible bejewelled coat, which took almost 950 hours of hand-embroidery to create!
Judy’s influence can be seen on the runway through evening gloves studded with pearls, safety pin jewellery and two-tone bomber jackets.
Kim Jones first met Judy Blame at 16, before becoming close later in life.
In a statement, Kim said “I thought it was nice to do a tribute [to him]”
“He was really important and cultural”
Kim Jones continues to level-up Dior. What do you think?
