It’s CULTED with you 60-second FASHION BLAST.
This weekend saw designers piece together films, exhibitions and creative projects for London’s first ever digital fashion week! Here is a recap including some standout designers.
First up, Martine Rose presented a conscious 8-piece collection, including relaxed silhouettes, and contrasting elements. The pieces were constructed purely from deadstock fabrics and off-cuts!
The designer teamed up with poet and activist Kai-Isaiah Jamal to produce a short film, aiming to explore the “intersections of race, gender, identity and marginalised communities”.
Next, this LFW, Charles Jeffrey decided to pass on the mic to Black creatives and place them at the forefront of his platform. Hosted by Miss Jason, Jeffrey invited dancers, singers and designers to the talent showcase, and asked viewers to donate to Black Pride UK.
Jeffrey also revealed his new capsule collection and campaign which stars yours truly! The new collection will be going on sale in December, and part of the profits will go to the Kaleidoscope trust.
We’ll be posting part 2 of our LFW recap later today.
So guys, which designer or brand stood out to you?
