Big brands like Ikea not only have the resources but also the contacts to create just about anything and collaborate with just about anyone, and yet they don’t. Russian AirPods case designer @yamcase proves once again that sometimes, ripping off brands can make for a way more interesting product than the actual brand ever could. We reposted YAMCASE’s custom Ikea case and mini bag to our TikTok, and judging by the 6 million views and over 250k likes, you were into it too.

@phaseofmothermoon said what we were all thinking by commenting “This feels unnecessary but I want it and I don’t even have AirPods”. Even if you don’t have AirPods, YAMCASE’s creation came with a mini version of Ikea’s iconic blue bag, which @nat__ant admitted to buying the whole thing just for that bag. No one can be stopped from their silly shopping sprees.

Sure, it’s not the most responsible and ethical choice to purchase things we don’t need, considering the dire impact overconsumption in our capitalist society has on the environment, but as @johnpoisson pointed out “Capitalism really popped off today, ladies.” and adding how much this is a needed purchase for them.

While most of you commented a series of “need” and “want” comments, some of our community wasn’t as on board with the rest, staring at their screens in confusion. @.immeditaly_no asked “Genuine question: Why would you put your airpod case in another case? Is there any additional use?” Yeah, it looks sick, duh.
The real question here is, why hasn’t Ikea co-signed YAMCASE’s creation, because considering @nic_68 “bought 6 of those little bags because [they’re] so cute”, Ikea is missing out on some big bank.
