Addison Rae went from lip syncing to actual singing by dropping her debut EP titled AR. Obviously, her fans are eating it up, with @d6aniel commenting “i’m sobbing tears of joy… is this how people felt when jesus resurrected”. Our community though had a few opinions and to say they were polarising would be an understatement.

We shared the news to our IG yesterday reporting that “Addison Rae is here to save pop music” and considering her album features Charli XCX, the TikToker has potential to become the new Britney, at least according to some of you. @stellahughes went die-hard fangirling by saying “If Addison has a million fans then I am one of them, if Addison has one fan then I’m that one”. Stella, we hear you, we feel you and we are with you on that one.

Though if Addison had a million haters, we found a few of them in the comment section of our post. @hiunwx went in hard when they said “I would agree if I was annoying and 13 years old”. Hey, there’s a demographic for everything, but honestly Rae’s bangers can be enjoyed by anyone (and no, they don’t have to be annoying).

There were definitely some confused reactions, and fair enough if we weren’t plugged on TikTok and heard her teased leaks, we’d be pretty shocked when the album dropped. @saintpablo___ said “Bruh what?” while @alex_ded__ simply said “W t f”. Someone who knew what to do straight away was @christian_castillo4 who commented “Time to hop off instagram for the day”. We bet they logged off to go listen to AR.

Whether you hate it or love it, and there were a lot of people who hated it and a lot who loved it, Addison Rae’s music career is only getting started. At least we’ve got @jovellemelad who’s here for it, calling the infamous bad bleep a “living legend”.
