C.P. Company has teamed up with Manchester City, becoming the team’s official style partner. The collaborative jackets will be worn by the Manchester City men’s first team, coaching staff and executive management when travelling during match days.  If you’re partial to the beautiful game, you might know England beat The Netherlands last night, and they’re through to the final of the Euros 2024. And if the possibility of football coming home has got you gagging to re-up your match day wardrobe, then look no further than Man City and C.P. Company’s goggled-up goodness.

Manchester City won their tenth league title this season, with England Euros squad members Phil Foden, John Stones, and Kyle Walker all contributing to the club’s top-of-the-table finish. But off the pitch, football is the thread between sportswear and casual culture, where sport and Italian technical clobber come together. Manchester City and C.P. company have honoured the casual wardrobe with a take on the iconic C.P. Company Goggle Jacket in the Italian label’s signature navy blue and light blue, featuring co-branded lenses perfect for match day.

In a love letter to Manny’s footie spirit (well, the blue side, anyway), a video campaign directed by Rawtape under the creative direction of John Joseph Holt, Man City mad fans talk through their match day rituals, spots, and their first love affair: Manchester City, of course. Whether it’s letting off steam inside the Etihad or fueling up on chicken Milano, rice and three, the Saturday celebrations of City supporters are documented in all their beauty, bringing together people from across Manchester to support one cause.

Lorenzo Osti, President of C.P. Company, described the partnership as an “exciting journey from Bologna to Manchester, where two visions, inspired by the same values, harmoniously merge. The aesthetic symbolism of the C.P. Company Goggle Jacket has become an icon for football fans, a project where sporting aspiration embraces and keeps its roots alive.”

On a deeper level, Man City’s new style partner plays into football’s fashion takeover, which has been picking up pace quicker than Karl Walker playing in right-back. In 2023, Crystal Palace appointed Annan-Jonathan as the Premier League’s first-ever Creative Director, proving footie’s off-pitch appeal is getting bigger and bigger. Not to mention, Paris Saint Germain has collaborated with Jordan, Born x Raised, and 3.PARADIS

Footballers are actually dressing decently now, donning Dior, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, and Burberry—Bukayo Saka starring in Burberry’s campaigns alongside Eberechi Eze.
