It’s CULTED with your RUNWAY RUNDOWN.
Virginie Viard just debuted her latest ready-to-wear collection for Chanel.
The show’s space paid homage to the brand’s iconic black-and-white packaging and was reminiscent of Zaha Hadid’s architecture. Dry ice filled the floor as the show opened with classic Chanel tailoring.
Models walked in pairs, groups and solo, something we’ve seen more of this season.
This Chanel runway saw a move to more relaxed fits, with oversized jumper dresses and looser fit blazers. As always, we saw the signature Chanel tweed throughout the collection, this time incorporated into biker-style jackets.
Fresh and young, Adut Akech brightened the runway in a white studded suit.
Bralette suiting also stood out as a modern relaxed take on formal wear. We also have to mention those mini bags but wait was that a pink Chanel AirPod case we spotted?
Cross imagery was used throughout the collection from bodices to necklaces.
Gigi Hadid closed the show arm-in-arm, with 2 other models. In the words of Susie Bubble “interlocking CC, interlocking arms, girl-ganging”.
The collection catered for the effortlessly confident modern-day Chanel woman and we are here for it.
Were you?
