In celebration of the “Plein Soleil” summer collection, CELINE has taken over the Brompton Road department store Harrods. Open today, the ground floor space, the French luxury house has decorated the store-front windows and decked out the indoors to feel like a summer vacation.
Off the back of its SS23 “La Collection de Saint Tropez” which also took inspiration from the French Riviera, “Plein Soleil” explores the idyllic Mediterranean destination, honing in on one of creative director Hedi Slimane’s favourite places Saint-Germain-Des-Prés.

Merging in the urban and seaside aesthetics, the collection includes a range of apparel such as a Saharienne jacket and a Chasseur jacket, swimwear sets, a poplin shirt, mini skirts and shorts, as well as a crochet cardigan matched with an a-line skirt.
The collection also offers its share of beach essential accessories that have been handcrafted. Available is a Baja cape, a small box bag in hand-woven wicker, the Panier Hobo bag in raffia, suede sandals, monogram espadrilles as well as sunglasses and jewellery to complete the look.

In addition to ready-to-wear, CELINE is also offering pieces from its Maison Art De Vivre line, which includes a deckchair, hammock, pillows and a ping-pong racket all bearing the CELINE branding. The entire range shown in Harrods encapsulates the blissful and sunny nature of the South of France.

The temporary move into Harrods is accompanied by a campaign shot by Slimane himself and features model Quinn Elin Mora in a series of coloured and black-and-white images that capture the easy-going lifestyle of the Southern parts of Europe. The Harrods space, which will be open to visitors until June 14, gives Londoners a taste of summer before summer, with an exclusive offering from CELINE.
