Divided Opinions at Bottega Veneta.

Over the weekend Bottega Veneta showcased their AW20 collection and it left the fashion crowd divided. Similar to Daniel Lee’s SS20 collection, we saw elements of sportiness, stretchy tailoring and hints of leather.
In classic Bottega style, we saw bags featuring the signature weave, Intrecciato. Daniel Lee created the squishy, oversize clutch – simply known as The Pouch for Bottega Veneta, which also went on to reportedly become Kering’s best-selling bag—ever. This time it’s reimagined with exaggerated fringing.
Footwear was also a focus in the collection, featuring heavy leather (a fan favourite) and 100% biodegradable boots.
The overall colour palette was modest, even though Lee stated: “I want to be bold – otherwise what’s the point?” While we saw some pops of colour in lime green and hot pink, the overall vibe felt somewhat dated. He also said “you love it or you hate it but that’s human nature.”
While the collection is getting mixed reviews, Lee knows his growing fanbase and knows how to cater to them.
So guys, did you love it or hate it?
