The Black in Fashion Council, founded in late June by Lindsay Peoples Wagner and Sandrine Charles has one mission: to represent and ensure the advancement of Black individuals within the fashion and beauty industries.

Now the council has announced the first company partners which have committed to diversifying their workforce, and facilitating the progress of Black employees.

So – are your favourite brands involved?

Well, they very well may be! Over 38 company partners have been announced so far, from talent agencies, to retailers and luxury brands including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Farfetch, Glossier and a whole lot more.

These brands have committed to collaborating with the Black in Fashion Council for three years, and working with the Human Rights Campaign to create their own equality index score.

The Black in Fashion Council will be releasing cumulative results in 2021, “giving insight into the progress that the industry has seen.”

Visit blackinfashioncouncil.com for the full list of brand partners, or if you’re a Black fashion professional head over for more information on how to become a member!
