Giving a second life to a preloved garment is the ethos behind the UK and Sweden-based vintage shop BEYOND RETRO, which is why its new collaboration with Stockholm-born brand Franca Franca does exactly that.
Coming together in true Nordic spirit for yet another round of collaboration, BEYOND RETRO and Franca Franca are releasing a completely upcycled collection. This collaboration puts the circle in circular fashion, utilising only preloved textiles to create its 20-piece collection.
The collection features an array of reworked oversized vintage shirts in all sorts of prints and patterns as well as matching scrunchies, highlighting what Franca Franca does best. Not only are the ‘80s-style hair ties a key aspect of Franca Franca, the Swedish brand also embraces a circular way of working and producing its pieces, also sourcing second-hand materials.
Speaking on the collaboration, BEYOND RETRO Global Marketing Director Francesca Sieler states, “Continuing our collaboration with Franca Franca, we wanted to recreate another one of our most loved categories. The classic men’s shirt is an iconic vintage product – with never ending styling possibilities. Giving it an on-trend crop, and a matching scrunchie gives a new cool twist to it.”
